A sturdy and handsome utility leather apron. Our aprons are handmade by craftsmen in the Britain using leather sourced in Scotland and produced to our own unique specification and design. The leather is produced to our specific thickness to allow both suppleness and protection. This not only provides ease of movement whilst behind the barbecue, but also provides the natural protection that Farriers, Blacksmiths and other craftsmen working with fire have found through the ages. The buckles are made from solid brass and allow adjustments of the neck yoke and the waist belt. There is no need to specially treat the apron. A wipe down with a damp cloth after use along with a small dab of washing up detergent will do the trick.
The apron can be secured around the body by means of a waist belt and an adjustable neck yoke. This means you can adjust the apron to your own personal dimensions and enjoy extra comfort while grilling on the barbecue.
There is a temptation to wear the apron tight to the body, which will provide protection from the heat of the grill, but not as much if you wear the waist belt slightly loose, ( i.e. one belt hole less)this allows a buffer zone between the body the apron and the heat.
When not in use the apron can be rolled up and stored in its own purpose made bag.
NOTE: To all wearers of the MAN MEAT FIRE® leather apron. Leather is a natural material, and though every attempt has been made to ensure the colour fixing, it is advisable to wear darker garments under it as colour may transfer.
